Growing up with cats and dogs inspired my love of animals from an early age. My passion for horses did not begin until I was 12, when I began learning to care and ride at a local riding school. At 14, I got the opportunity to loan my first horse Lottie, and a year later at 15, I purchased my first horse Amber, soon followed by a companion Shetland Velvet, of which both I still own to this day. This is where my true passion for equine welfare and behaviour began. I began learning and understanding how our horses communicate and that they interact with us every second; they are not simply trying to be naughty or difficult; they are attempting to express thoughts and feelings, one of which is pain. I like every horse/animal lover never wants their animals to be in pain which is why I began looking into animal massage/physiotherapy.

My last dog, a Westie, unfortunately passed away due to cancer when he was 15 and I was 8, but my passion for dogs never faded. I was still continuously surrounded by my grandparents' dogs, specifically Dachshunds and German Shepherds, until I was a teenager. Since then, I've continued interacting with dogs, particularly farm and working dogs, but I have yet to have one of my own, although this will be rectified as soon as humanly possible!

After high school I went on to study equine management at Reaseheath College. During my time there, I had the opportunity to work at some of the most popular shows in the country, including HOYS, Bolesworth, and Stoneleigh International, and I met some incredible horsemen and women during my time working the main arenas. Furthermore, because of the college's relationship with the BTRC (British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre), I not only had the opportunity to ride numerous ex-racers, but it also allowed me to better understand their mind and body, which has fuelled my interest in equine behaviour and rehabilitation. Working at several yards, in addition to shows, has broadened my skill set and experience with a diverse range of horses. Having gained knowledge of canine behaviour and care through various professions and education, I am also very interested in canine behaviour and training, and I intend to adapt and expand my knowledge and expertise in this field over time.

I gained my degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy from Writtle College University in 2023, setting up the same year. Since then I have continued to expand and develop my knowledge in equine and canine musculoskeletal health and still have a great passion for equine and canine behaviour.
